Psychotherapy

Welcome. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice. The service I offer is through both main modalities: a) in person One-on-One or Individual Psychotherapy, and b) Online Psychotherapy or Teletherapy. The type of work I do as a clinician is best described as psychodynamic psychotherapy. This means that in dialogue with my patients, we proceed together to identify conflictual points and problematic issues as they are taking place in their everyday life, and in all their different dimensions (affective, cognitive and behavioral). This first step is very important to understand how these conflicts and problems operate as an obstacle in the possibilities and capacities for enjoying life, for loving, working and creating. These conflicts may have an internal or an external source, or both. So both of these realms are addressed during the treatment process in an empathic way and through attentive listening.

The service I offer is individual psychotherapy for both English and Spanish speaking individuals. The work I do with my patients has two different modalities: in-person therapy and online treatment therapy. In the first case I see my patients at my office located in Recoleta neighbourhood in the city of Buenos Aires. In the second case, I see patients online (Teletherapy). This second modality has widened the scope of possibilities and I currently see patients from different countries.

Global work dynamics and the increase of school and university exchange programs have contributed to people from other cultures living in the city of Buenos Aires to demand psychotherapy services more than in the past. Expats may experience adaptation issues to the new culture. Working on the emotions, feelings and thoughts associated with the experience of being an expat living in Buenos Aires, away from one´s own culture and people, contributes to increasing the level of enjoyment of the experience of living abroad.

These are some of the most frequent reasons of consultation:

  • Anxiety (in all its different forms)
  • Depression (mood problems or mood disorders)
  • Stress
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (obsessional thoughts, compulsive behaviors)
  • Relational Conflicts
  • Couples Crisis
  • Trauma
  • Lack of Desire
  • Inhibitions (relational or job related)
  • Impulse disorders
  • Bulimia

  • Sexual Disorders
  • Expats adaptation problems
