PSYCHOANALYTIC STUDY GROUPS

I coordinate study groups for clinicians, graduate students, and researchers interested in psychoanalysis.

How Study Groups work

The groups combine close reading of psychoanalytic texts, from Freud to contemporary authors, with discussion of their
clinical and conceptual implications.

I periodically convene small study groups for colleagues and candidates interested in close reading and discussion of
psychoanalytic texts. Groups form based on interest and availability, and are limited in size to allow for real exchange.

They meet once a week, and I am currently organizing groups for the upcoming semester. Recent groups have included:

  • Introductory Readings in Psychoanalytic Technique
  • Readings on Foucault and Psychoanalysis
  • Intersections of Psychoanalysis and Memory Studies
  • Subjectivity and Contemporary Discontents

If you are interested in joining or proposing a text or theme, feel free to get in touch.
